Medal Boxes

As an ex-serviceman I am aware of the pride that people have in their own and family members service, but like a lot of people, my medals were left in a drawer. However, now that my daughter is of an age where she has started asking questions about my younger days, I decided to design the first box for my medals.
This led to a number of enquiries from people to display other special items, collections and also products that they sell.

I now offer a bespoke designer maker service for display cases, collection boxes, medals and corporate gift/ product items.
Medal Boxes
Each box is handmade to fit your collection. They do not come “off the shelf.” They are made for you and your family, to your specification.
The prices below are for boxes made from either Oak or Sapele. American Walnut will cost a bit extra. The top of the boxes in the images are African Walnut.
Glass tops can be incorporated at extra cost if preferred. this allows the box to be used as a display case.
There are two types of boxes. Hinged lid and press fit lid.
Press fit lid boxes are wood only. The lid has a nice secure friction fit.
Hinged lid boxes come with brass or nickel hinges and rare earth magnets to aid closure

HINGED LID BOX

A separate fitting for a medal ribbon (As shown at the top of the box) can be added at no extra cost.

Order Process

Once you have placed your order , I will contact you for a photo of your medals laid out as per the photo and to discuss the final look of the banding (Black/ white/ red)

If you cannot get hold of the medals because the box is a surprise for somebody, no problem. I will supply the box with the rings loose and detailed photographic instructions on how to fit the rings (No tools needed - they just screw in by hand).

The box is sent to you on completion (usually within 2-3 weeks) and the medals pin onto the rings.

You are welcome to send me your medals to fit in the box for you at no extra cost. If you want me to, I will polish them free of charge.

All medals are different. Some have backing which makes the ribbon stiff and are usually joined together if there are more than one. Others have just ribbon and are loose, some just have the medal. Depending on whether they are backed or loose depends on how many fitting are needed and the placement of these. The photo with the medals and ruler lets me determine this. Depending on whether they are backed or loose depends on how many fitting are needed and the placement of these. The photo with the medals and ruler lets me determine this, but is not crucial as you can fit the rings yourself.
