Forbescraft was created through a love of the handmade and the desire to craft something special for people, in particular beautiful wooden boxes of high quality that would be cherished and admired by the lucky recipient and their family and friends. They are perfect for weddings, anniversaries, Christmas, birthdays or “just because you deserve one.”

Our boxes are not mass produced but individually created with care and attention to detail in our small workshop on the Essex and Suffolk border in the Stour River Valley. All marquetry is hand cut. Boxes are fully lined and can be fitted with trays or drawers for all your special items.

Wood has an infinite number of colours and patterns so each project I work on is different in some way. What you get is unique to you. I personally source all my materials, visiting the suppliers where able to ensure I have exactly the correct wood that is responsibly sourced.

We are experienced in working with both private and commercial customers. We can make one off designs, prototypes or large orders.
